Welcome to the Peninsula Cycle Club

Since 1992, Peninsula Cycle Club has supported the needs of local bicyclists throughout the South Bay. Weekly rides of various levels are hosted by the club. The Bike Palace supports our annual Hartt Memorial Port to Port ride from San Pedro to San Diego. Club members pay just $25.00 each year, which includes a 20% bike shop discount at The Bike Palace. Members may then buy jerseys, jackets, vests and shorts at member prices.

Yearly membership dues for the Peninsula Cycle Club are payable as of the first of each year. Existing members pay $25 to renew, while new members who joined between July 1 and September 30, 2014, pay a prorated fee of $12.50. New members who joined after October 1 pay nothing for their 2015 renewal (their memberships are automatically renewed).

We're encouraging PenCC members to pay their renewal fee online via PayPal using the appropriate "Buy Now" button bellow. Please note that we've added the PayPal processing fee to this renewal transaction ($25 renewal = $26.03 with PayPal fee, $12.50 renewal = $13.16).

You don't need a PayPal account to renew your membership online, just select one of the buttons below, then select the "Pay with a debit or credit card, or PayPal Credit" link at the bottom-right of the page; you can then pay with your debit/credit card.

          Tony knew that SOMEBODY had to run for PenCC Chief Director. Mark Abercrombie was stepping down and nobody had stepped up to fill his shoes. Those of you who know Tony also know that the club owes him a huge debt of gratitude for the time and expense he contributes to the club, particularly during the Steve Hartt San Pedro to San Diego club ride and the club's major fundraiser, the Torrance Criterium.

          As it turned out, Tony stepped up to the task. Congratulations to all the newly elected officers! Also elected:

          The 2015 PenCC club purchase deals are here! These renown deals (ask your friends who've been around if you don't know) end on November 15, so don't miss this opportunity.

          Volunteers Needed for the Torrance Criterium

          We need your help! This year’s Torrance Criterium is on May 18, so it’s time to step up and volunteer! This bike race is our primary fundraiser for the year.

          We need help starting now with sponsorship recruiting. There are multiple levels of sponsorships available. For more information on sponsorship levels, download the sponsor sell sheet: http://peninsulacc.com/images/sponsor sell sheet 3-6-14.pdf.

          Other tasks we need help with over the upcoming months include: race card distribution at bicycle races (x4 volunteers), flyer delivery to course businesses (x2), tow-away notification placement on cars parked on the course (x1), and course sweeping (x6).

          On race day we need help with: course marshals (x10), race registration (x5), prize coordination (x2), event setup (x6) and event cleanup (x6).

          Putting on a race this size requires the concerted effort of a large team. We need your help to make this race successful. Any effort you can make will be greatly appreciated.

          Setup is one hour (6-7AM)
          Course Marshall is five hours (7-12PM and 12-5PM)
          Clean-up is one hour (4-5PM) - might be 4:30-5:30PM
          Course sweeping is about 2-3 hours the day before (until we lose the light)
